Conditions of Hire

PAYMENT:

 

Your booking will be confirmed once the deposit has been received. No bookings are secure until the deposit has been paid.
 

Full payment must be made before picking up your hire. No items will leave the premises without full payment including a bond.
 

A refundable bond is also required on all hires. The value of the bond will be determined by the items being hired.
 

We accept eftpos, bank deposit or cash sales. Any bank deposits must be cleared before collecting your items.


REPLACEMENT COSTS:

 

It is the customer’s responsibility to take proper care of the equipment hired. This includes keeping all hire items undercover, including tables and chairs. Full replacement cost will be charged if equipment is lost or damaged.


ADDITIONAL LAUNDRY CHARGES:

 

Please ensure linen is checked and counted before returning. Linen must be kept indoors to avoid fading & mildew. Extra laundry charges may be incurred if linen requires extra treatment to remove mildew, red wine, food stains, candlewax or other marks. Full replacement costs will incur if the linen is permanently damaged.


PICKING UP AND RETURNING YOUR HIRE:


If you are picking up your hire in a trailer, please line it and cover the items with waterproof material, such as a tarpaulin. Tableware can not be transported on a trailer or in an open back vehicle. Cutlery, crockery, linen and glassware must be transported in an enclosed motor vehicle.  Wooden rustic and whitewash tables, crossback, Chiavari, and wooden folding chairs must be delivered and collected by Tents and Events.

 

For weekend hires please collect on Friday between 10am and 3pm from our premises, Unit 5/32 Klinac Lane, Waipapa.

 

Please return your hire by 3pm the following Monday unless other arrangements have been made. An extra day’s hire will apply if the hire is returned late.

Please ensure all dishes have been rinsed before returning. Extra charges will be incurred if dishes have not been rinsed.

 

Please note delivery of hire is an extra charge, is subject to availability and needs to be arranged prior to your event.
 

The customer is responsible for checking the equipment upon pick up or delivery. Tents and Events Party Hire cannot accept responsibility for shortages or claims after the customer takes possession.


CLEANING CHARGES:
A charge of $60.00 for the first hour and $45.00 per hour thereafter will be charged if dishes have not been rinsed.
